The Outplate method is a reinforcement technique that involves tensioning prefabricated CFRP plates (outplates) with anchoring bodies at both ends, fixing and bonding them to existing concrete structures. Compared to conventional continuous fiber sheet bonding methods, tensioning the outplates allows for the introduction of prestress into the concrete, enabling significant reinforcement effects with a smaller amount of reinforcement material.
